John Holland

Date of birth unknown. In the second production of 2 Henry VI  (1594?) on stage as rebel John Holland. Presumably an adult. Yet, a few years later he has in The Seven Deadly Sins exactly the same to perform as Christopher Beeston (then still a teenager). The evidence is therefore not conclusive, but in 1594 the Jeffes brothers can’t have been all the company’s senior apprentices.
